Here at MOTORESS, we receive numerous magnificent details of the rides experienced by YOU, and how you enjoyed celebrating International Female Ride Day. And though the experiences, roads and terrains are vast of which you ride on this one day, worldwide, this is one tale of a motorcycle ride which was initiated at midnight! Well, this was exactly the case with these two women motorcycle rider enthusiasts for the second International Female Ride Day.
Susan and Tracy wanted to get a head start on 1 May so around midnight on Friday, while the rest of their neighbours we dozing off into a goods night rest; they suited up, hopped on their motorcycles and went for a midnight ride. Their tour took them around the Buttonwoods locality of Warwick Rhode Island, USA. And that sure sounded to us like a lovely thing to be doing for International Female Ride Day!
They describe a beautiful nights’ ride, brushed with a slight breeze and temperatures around the low 50’s (10 centigrade). The ladies expressed that the raindrops held off until they rode into their own driveway’s- perfect timing! They thanked the good weather Goddess and exclaimed—“we had fun!”
They recently became members of the MotoSisters Motorcycle Contingent and had plans to meet up with members later that day to continue the fun for this the second annual International Female Ride Day.
Susan rides a BMW 2001 R1200C Phoenix (not in the picture here) and Tracy rides/owns a BMW 1991 K100RS, a BMW 1971 R75/5, and a 1983 Honda Nighthawk 650.
We like the idea of a midnight ride! Kudos to Susan and Tracy for their spontaneous “JUST RIDE any time” approach and thank you for sharing!
