For the ninth year we’re celebrating International Female Ride Day shared moments you captured with your camera in our global “JUST RIDE” Facebook photo contest! Submit your International Female Ride Day® photo of you and your motorcycle on Saturday 2 May and you could win!
Many of you recall, in earlier years, we awarded a souvenir to the first number of photos submitted on International Female Ride Day®. On that same theme – submitting your photo –we’re hosting a PHOTO CONTEST on the Facebook page
The photo with the highest number of “VOTES” wins.

HOW TO ENTER – VIA FACEBOOK
- To submit your image, log-in to your ‘Facebook’ account and upload your image to the International Female Ride Day® Facebook PAGE contest area. http://www.facebook.com/InternationalFemaleRideDay
…and use the usual methods to add a photo to the contest section page. Be sure to include a sentence or two about your image and the location the photo was taken, your name and anything else you’d like to share!
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest commences on 00:01 Saturday 2 May, GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) through to 11 May 23:59 (midnight) ET /Eastern Standard Time (the “Deadline”). MOTORESS may extend the deadline at its sole discretion. Any extension to the deadline will be posted on the Facebook page and twitter @MOTORESS and @FEMALERIDEDAY
ELIGIBILITY & JUDGING
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. THIS CONTEST IS OPEN TO INDIVIDUALS (“CONTESTANTS”), AGE 18 OR OLDER ON OR BEFORE MAY 2nd 2015. To be eligible to participate in the Contest, you must, during the Contest Period, enter the contest by submitting your International Female Ride Day® (IFRD) photo on the Facebook IFRD “page” *not group, event or other pages. Only one entry per person permitted to win. Directors, officers and employees of sponsor, its parent, and any of its affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate family members of each are not eligible to participate in the Contest. This Contest is governed by Ontario law. All applicable federal, Ontario and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited.
We are encouraging “VOTES” International Female Ride Day© feel/ merit.
- Entries may originate in any size or colour Facebook will accept electronically.
- This photo must not have appeared earlier and is a current image from International Female Ride Day©. Any suspicions will be disqualified by MOTORESS unless proven otherwise.
- Photos submitted from 00:01 Saturday 2 May, GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) through to 11 May 23:59 / midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) will qualify and be eligible for this contest. Voting for images will carry on for one week (so inform your friends!) after above closing date.
- Any image submitted after 11 May 23:59 / midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) will not be considered for the contest. But please feel free to share your photo- we love to see them!
- Photos submitted from 00:01 Saturday 2 May GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) through to 11 May 23:59 / midnight GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) will qualify.
- On Monday 11 May at 23:59 GMT, the votes will close
- Images must be property of the person uploading and not copied from another source.
- The contest is based on individual photo popularity; however, if a photo with more than one person pictured wins, the person submitting the photo will be the winner providing they are pictured in the photo.
- Only one jacket and one gift certificate will be awarded.
- Any images uploaded to the IFRD page deemed improper or irrelevant to the purpose and topic of the contest, will be deleted without consult including images which may appear to promote products/commercial goods.
- Limited to one image per person.
- Prizes are not redeemed for cash or substituted for anything else offered by either REV’IT! or MOTORESS.
PRIZES
Two prizes will be awarded, first prize to the winner who achieved the highest number of photo “Votes” (within the photo contest app).
The winner will receive:
- Best Photo: A beautiful new 2015 REV’IT! – Bellecour Ladies Motorcycle Jacket *various colours
- Best Selfie: Wins a GIFT Certificate for $100.00 (CAD dollars) to spend on MOTORESS brand products in the MOTORESS Shop.
The names of the winner will be posted on the MOTORESS Facebook page by May 15th, 2015. Prizes not claimed within three (3) days will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner/next runner up. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges of any prizes will be permitted, except that MOTORESS reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize listed above. Limit one prize per winning entrant. All prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. No prize is exchangeable for cash.
REV’IT! will ship the prize to the winner and shipments outside of the designed REV’IT! office shipment location may be subject to import charges, which are the responsibility of the prize winner. Your prize may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country. REV’IT! ships your package D.D.U., “duties and taxes unpaid”, and does not collect import VAT, duties and/or taxes and cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur these additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. For more information regarding your country’s custom policies, please contact your local customs office.
PHOTO CONTEST PERMISSION TO USE PHOTO / IMAGE RELEASE
By placing an image on the International Female Ride Day facebook page located here: http://www.facebook.com/InternationalFemaleRideDay you automatically agree to the Legal Conditions of this photo contest.
You further give consent to, and authorize MOTORESS/International Female Ride Day© the absolute right and permission to copyright and use, re-use and publish, and re-publish images which you have submitted, whole or in part, without restrictions. You also consent to the use of any printed, electronic or other representations in conjunction therewith.
You waive any right that you may have to inspect or approve finished product /products or printed matter or the advertising copy that may be used in connection therewith or the use to which it may be applied.
You agree to release and discharge MOTORESS®, International Female Ride Day©, its partners and associates from any and all claims arising out of use of the image(s). You warrant that you are of full legal age and legally competent to endorse this agreement. You agree/state further that you have read the above authorization, release and agreement, prior to its execution, and that you are fully familiar with the contents thereof.
GENERAL RELEASE
By entering this contest, you agree to all of the terms and conditions relating to this contest and you are responsible for understanding. By entering the Contest, you release MOTORESS®, and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and advertising and promotional agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
Each entrant in the Contest is responsible for ensuring that she has the right to submit the photo(s) that she submits to the Contest per these rules.
DISCLAIMER
MOTORESS®, and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, employees and advertising and promotional agencies will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost or misrouted submissions; (b) any scheduling errors or delays; (c) equipment, telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other related malfunctions or failures; (d) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.
You agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved with MOTORESS®, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, before a court of competent jurisdiction located in Toronto, Ontario Canada, which court shall apply the laws of the Commonwealth of Ontario without regard for rules of conflicts of law. IN ANY SUCH DISPUTE, PARTICIPANT SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS’ FEES, OR ANY DAMAGES OTHER THAN PARTICIPANT’S ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES (IF ANY) ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR INCREASED. The Contest MOTORESS® web site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
MOTORESS is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the photo competition, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions to the photo competition, including but not limited to any misprints or typographical errors. MOTORESS assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. MOTORESS is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer equipment, servers, providers, computer on-line systems, software, or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, including injury or damage to participant’s or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating or uploading images or information in the photo contest.
If, for any reason, the photo competition is not capable of completion as planned, including but not limited to, any reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of MOTORESS that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the photo competition, MOTORESS reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the photo competition.
