Its black colour blends into the motorcycle which is more good thinking on the designers part. Let’s face it, it’s not the most attractive accessory on your motorcycle. My preference is indeed,that it is as inconspicuous as possible.

The only challenge I observed, is that it does increase seat height and this could present a challenge on taller bikes and for shorter riders. I used it both on a Harley-Davidson Sportster which was a non issue as it's a very short motorcycle to begin with. But when using it on the BMW F800ST it created enough height to prevent my feet from setting flat on the ground. However, it’s such a portable item you can easily place it underneath you after moving off.
