If you’re one for long rides but your motorcycle seat doesn’t satisfy your comfort demands, preventing you from going the distance-you’ll find the AIRHAWK motorcycle seat cushions the perfect answer!

Having tested the product, specifically the small cruiser seating system for nearly 1000 km’s I can tell you most certainly it does the trick! I walked away after the long ride with no rear or back aches! In fact, even as I write this now, I’m sitting on my AIRHAWK, not on my motorcycle but on my office chair! I find its benefits useful in any situation requiring hours of sitting!

The technology was originally invented for wheelchair users; generally people who spend up to 12 hours a day seated and are at risk for painful and sometimes life-threatening pressure ulcers. Robert H. Graebe its architect spent years developing a solution to the problem.  He invented a cushion that equalized forces over the weight-bearing areas of the body, relieving dangerous pressure points.

Now known as the ROHO Group, Inc., the leading pioneer in Shape Fitting Technology® since 1973.  His cushion, the ROHO®, was designed with supple interconnecting air cells to allow a patient to virtually float on air.  The ROHO cushion became renowned in the medical profession, and the same patented technology was later used to create mattresses for long-term care patients and other products.

ROHO brought DRY FLOATATION  technology to the transportation and recreation industries with AIRHAWK® Comfort Seating Systems. Graebe found that DRY FLOATATION has more amazing properties than just pressure equalization.

It also controls vibration and absorbs shock where for motorcycle riders who are at the mercy of engine and road vibrations, can experience significant fatigue, numbness and even health risks such as spinal column compression as a result! It’s also been a huge success for truck drivers who spend their day strapped into the seat of an 18-wheeler!

Its design comes with two straps front and back which are intended to go under your seat to keep the cushion in place. However, I found they weren’t really necessary as the AIRHAWK’s rubber underside kept if from going anywhere!  I did use the front strap nonetheless, simply for peace of mind.

Initial inflation is straight forward and simple—trick is of course not to overinflate! But you’ll be able to get a feel for this especially once you've filled it with air, and sit on it. It will be obvious enough if you’ve put too much or too little air in. Here is the online guide.women motorcycles motoress.com

Its black colour blends into the motorcycle which is more good thinking on the designers part. Let’s face it, it’s not the most attractive accessory on your motorcycle. My preference is indeed, that it is as inconspicuous as possible.

The only challenge I observed, is that it does increase seat height and this could present a challenge on taller bikes and for shorter riders. I used it both on a Harley-Davidson Sportster which was a non issue as it's a very short motorcycle to begin with. But when using it on the BMW F800ST it created enough height to prevent my feet from setting flat on the ground. However, it’s such a portable item you can easily place it underneath you after moving off.

Made of lightweight Polyurethane with a cover of stretch polyester.  Side panels are 3-layer knit polyester providing air circulation. Fluid-proof, non-skid base is easy to clean and durable. There’s a 60 day money back guarantee and replacement parts available!

Here’s the AIRHAWK website but you’ll have to view the ROHO site to observe all the product sizes and details.

Now you really have nothing to stop you from riding your “gluteus to the maximus” distance with the proven AIRHAWK motorcycle seat cushion!

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Iron Butt competition?!
