It was Carla Herman from Southern Arizona who became our very first ride day participant to submit her International Female Ride Day photo for the 2008 edition of JUST RIDE! Submitted photos are placed onto the MOTORESS website showing women motorcycle riders the world over, how they spent their ride day. Carla sent us a note along with her photo, from Green Valley Arizona where blue skies accented a beautiful riding day ahead.
Carla told us she would be enjoying a solo ride before heading into work on her Kawasaki Ninja. After work she planned to ride up to Tucson and meet up with the WOW (Women on Wheels) group known in her area as the Tucson Roadrunners. That evening they would all enjoy a ride around town.
Hundreds of photos, as in 2007, have been arriving since 2 May and will shortly find their way, proudly, within the photo gallery pages of our Female Ride Day site gallery! It takes our team time to process, yet unlike last year, we’re making sure we’ve got a more user friendly gallery available. It makes us all very proud to be able to share these photos and display proudly the many many numbers of women riders-worldwide!
Carla’s closing line was, “Just out having fun and enjoying the day!” –yes, that’s what it’s all about!
