As you might be aware the “skull” has been in fashion for the past few years. You’ll find it accenting scarves, earrings, bracelets, even fabric prints. So AXO MX Socks Skully incorporate the cuter version of ole “skully” in their women’s MX (motocross) sock.
The AXO Skully sock is made of 70% acrylic, 10% nylon, and 10% spandex. Though tough enough for off-road riding, these socks are perfect for all types of riding. AXO has designed their motocross socks to fit comfortably under your shoes or boots. And who’s to stop you from wearing these with your everyday non-motorcycle boots!
Every one of the AXO sock line seems to have been created with their own stylish and unique design giving their wearer a true statement. The socks stayed up! I wore them under my motocross boots, and the elastic is enough to keep them in place wasn’t overly tight which after a few hours riding can become irritating.
The material is soft so no abrasions at heel, ankle bone or on top-side of foot. Many performance socks I’ve tried in the past caused irritation in the boot. The “skully” didn’t – and I did not wash them before use – wore them right from the package.
The foot of the sock is designed with darker colours which smartly conceals dirt. Who doesn’t trod in a bit of muck when getting gear on especially off-road riding or trail riding where facilities are zero to minimal.
A softer thread has been used for the above the ankle to the top ribbing area for stretching and give. This is where the main p “skully” design is. This provides extra soft comfort with a lighter stretch between your leg/calf and the boot.
There’s a tighter stitch vertical ribbing around the ankle again, leaving the sock in place to perform. I found this also allowed extra room for movement.
Superb fit for women sizes 6-10.
