Congratulations to woman motorcycle rider Sarah Travis from Ireland who is depicted in the photo with friends, titled “Today we Ride!” . This the submitted 2014 International Female Ride Day photo which won the eighth International Female Ride Day© photo contest!
This photo won the most votes on the International Female Ride Day© Facebook page, and expressed the perfect representation of IFRD – its diversity and camaraderie – globally – for women riders.
The photo was taken by friend and photographer Dessy Coyles
The ladies have decided the prize, the REV’IT! Sands jacket will go to Dessy’s niece who is about to start taking motorcycle riding lessons. She has just purchased a 125cc motorcycle to learn to ride on.
As Sarah states: “What a better way for the prize to be used, than to start another female off for the ride day – next year!” Women mentoring the future riders, setting great examples. Yes, IFRD brings about the unity and shared passions!
Congrats once again and to all the women who shared their ride moments for 2014 International Female Ride Day© and to Sarah and team for submitting a most memorable photo!
Just Ride Saturday 2 May 2015!
