For 2019, the International Female Ride Day photo contest winners will receive an exclusively designed unique metal art piece created by metalworks artist Joyce Morgan – the artist known as Joy’s Metal Work. The design will encompass the IFRD logo and emblem as well as personalisation of its winner!
Joyce, also a motorcycle rider has enthusiastically accepted the commissioned to create the awards for the 13th edition International Female Ride Day contest winners. The plaque, better referred to as an art piece, will be hand designed and created by Joyce.
More About Artist Joyce Morgan
Growing up in Ontario, Morgan was surrounded by artists. Her mother and brother have natural sketching and painting abilities and her father is considered an “artist of all trades”. After attempting to find her place amidst various career paths, Morgan discovered her niche to that of welder and welding.
“The first time I struck and arc, I was hooked. I finally found my niche as an artist” says Joy. Morgan has been welding and creating pieces in brushed aluminium, designing metal sculptures, functional art and custom commissioned pieces now for over a decade. Morgan currently resides with her partner and son in a small community in Oxford County, Ontario creating artwork in her spare time.

Once the photo contest winners are announced, Morgan will complete the works and the individual winners will be forwarded their IFRD specially hand crafted art piece.
