International Female Ride Day Photo Sweepstakes / Contest Winners

Jacolene called this simply “Releasing The Balloons” during her IFRD ride day happening in South Africa.

Congratulations to Kat H. from Dubai with her group shot titled “Rocking The Dubai Road on IFRD 2019!” The Dubai desert in the background and a fun capture of fellow women riders from the UAE.

Pictured above is Jenna’s winning photo for 2018. She titled it “Biker Girls 971 from Guadeloupe”, adding “French Caribbean Girls Just Riding Under the Sun for 2018 IFRD”!  Jenna’s eyes capture that fire in the joy of riding – as well as the camaraderie of sharing the day with other women.

The 2018 highest voted image, belonged to the Canadians from Ontario, titled “Lady Riders Ontario Canada!”- the winners in the group photo category.  This could not have been a better choice as these amazing women counted over 500 women riders out for the 12th edition of IFRD.

Congratulations to Shereen Adel with her photo titled “Blast from the Past … Just ride in Egypt 2017!” taken during her ride at the Egyptian Pyramids. Shereen is the winner of the 11th International Female Ride Day photo contest with the highest voted photo submission for a woman rider selfie picture or group photo of under six persons.

The favourite group photo for 2017 and with the highest number of votes went to: “Proud Egyptian Female Bikers”!  These women arranged a “pyramid ride” to celebrate IFRD and captured an amazing photo with the infamous pyramids in the background. It was Riman Ramadan who submitted the photo for their group of +20 riders.

Shay Ron from Mangawhai, New Zealand (what a beautiful place) sure knows how to take a selfie!  It’s a superb photo and portrait of Shay, having fun on IFRD with over 70 women rider friends. Shay’s caption reads:  “Vivacious, Vocal, Va-Va-Va-Voom!”  Her photo portrays IFRD perfectly – the friendship, and camaraderie is obvious!

Congratulations to the women riders of Elora Ontario Canada who won the 2016 International Female Ride Day photo contest! Their submission, capturing the fun-filled feeling of the JUST RIDE day theme, all in red for Canada received the highest number of votes (total of 1793) on the IFRD Facebook page .

2015  IFRD “selfie” contest winner is Ms. Tutti Timea from Budapest Hungary. Her collage of ride portraits received the most votes on the IFRD Facebook page with photo caption: “Hi from Hungary-Budapest just ride ;) hurrah for girl power!”  Tutti along with women riders around the world enjoyed the ninth “Just Ride!” day.

Meeting the criteria via  the Facebook run contest, voters decided (over 2500 votes) that group photo submitted by Moira Donohoe of Ireland’s women riders is the winner! The photo contained the caption: “Ireland’s IFRD 12 hours of torrential rain & wind didn’t dampen our spirits!”

Congratulations to Melissa Weirich from Kihei, Hawaii winner of the eighth International Female Ride Day photo contest for “Best Selfie”. Melissa titled her entry – “On Top of the World”! and we, as did you, truly find it to be an incredible shot!
