At the final round of the 2012/2013 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, which takes place in France and for the first time in Europe, an exhibition race will be featured, reserved for women motorcycle SuperEnduro riders only!
After confirmation by the Federation International de Motocyclisme (FIM) of the proposition made by Alain Blanchard (Promoter), together with increasing female interest within this new discipline, two 5 minute heats will form part of the final SuperEnduro GP schedule at Tours(37 – F) on the 9th of March.
The Women’s Enduro class with the Maxxis EWC has already proved very popular with competitors, teams, manufacturers and spectators everywhere and has grown in stature extremely quickly. Tours will be the first chance for everybody to see these skills demonstrated indoors at a Super-Enduro event.
Spectators will have the opportunity to watch Laïa SANZ (E –Gas Gas), Jane DANIELS (GB – Husaberg), Blandine DUFRENE (F–TM) and Juliette BERREZ (F–Yam) and many others that will compete on a spectacular but technical track built by the US team headed by Eric PERONNARD.
No doubt, the female riders will make their own great impact and put on a show equal to their male counterparts in the Parc des Expositions at Tourson the 9th of March. They will also prove that a women’s class truly does deserve to be implemented within the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
Success ladies – your fans @MOTORESS will be watching.
