On 16 August 2015, two world records were beaten and achieved by female motorcyclists at Ace Cafe, the famous renowned biker’s spot, in London. Organisers Sherrie Woolf and Nimisha Patel were overwhelmed with the level of support for the event and the numbers of women who travelled so many miles to be a part of the record. They have said “The atmosphere on the day was incredibly positive and it was wonderful to see so many women making new friends and reconnecting with old friends. The feedback after the event has been so positive, we will be doing more events in the future so watch this space.”
Only weeks after we told you about a local initiative in London, UK to set a new record for all-female motorcycle rallies, the event took place and was a huge success. A total of 618 ladies participated in the rally, which is a new record and surpasses the previous one by far.

The previous record was set in Australia last year when 221 women on 190 motorcycles met in the same place. However, the English event not only broke that record with 618 participants but also set a new bar for the biggest all-female bike parade with 251 riders on 251 motorcycles riding from the Ace Cafe. The organisers of the event, Sherrie Wolf and Nimisha Patel, are already considering staging similar meetings in other places in the UK to draw attention from gear manufacturers.
The main purpose of the event is to make motorcycle gear manufacturers more aware of the needs of female riders, who have often struggled to find suitable gear. Women are becoming more visible in the motorcycling world, which is still dominated by men. However, the availability of gear designed for women is very limited compared to that made for men. Only a few manufacturers offer female ranges, while most of them cater to the male anatomy.
Record 1: World’s Largest All Female Biker Meet
A new world record was set for the “World’s Largest All Female Biker Meet” with 618 ladies riding their bikes to the event in London.
Record 2: Most Women Riding Motorcycles at Once
An existing world record for the “Most Women Riding Motorcycles at Once” was also beaten. The existing record was held by a group of ladies in Australia who recorded 190 ladies riding their bikes with 31 of them carrying a pillion. The new record has 246 ladies riding their own bikes, pillions were not included in the count. (251 ladies were counted for the rideout but only 246 were captured in the footage).
Some Interesting Event Stats:
- Youngest Rider: 10 years old, Eldest rider 73 years old.
- 61.2% of the riders that attended are over 40.
Congrats to the UK ladies, and we’ll see you next year again on 7 May for the 2016 International Female Ride Day global synchronised women’s ride event!
