Looking to join the global excitement of? You’re not alone. Every first Saturday in May, women riders across more than 120 countries take to the road, trail, track, and beyond in a worldwide show of visibility, connection, and rider spirit.
Whether you prefer a large, organised gathering, a casual meetup, a dealership ride, or a solo adventure with a few friends — there are many ways to take part in the world’s only globally synchronised ride day for women.
Here’s how to find an IFRD ride, event, meetup, or happening near you.
1) Search Social Media Using IFRD Hashtags
One of the fastest ways to discover local happenings is through social media. Search hashtags such as:
- #IFRD
- #InternationalFemaleRideDay
- #femalerideday
- #JustRide
Instagram and Facebook are especially active in the weeks leading up to IFRD. Riders, clubs, dealerships, and organisers often post ride meetups, route plans, breakfast gatherings, photo stops, and special celebrations.
You’ll also discover women riders in your region you may not have known before — one of the most meaningful parts of IFRD.
2) Search Motorcycle Groups, Clubs & Women Rider Communities
Start by exploring local motorcycle groups, clubs, and rider communities that may be organising International Female Ride Day happenings. Women rider groups around the world often organise their own IFRD rides and celebrations. Groups such as The Litas, Stilettos on Steel, and other women’s riding networks often share event details through Facebook, Instagram, and local community pages.
3) Explore IFRD Events on Facebook
Facebook remains one of the easiest tools for locating organised IFRD rides and the official IFRD Facebook page is a great resource. Then too, in the Facebook search bar, type:
- “International Female Ride Day”
- “IFRD”
Then click the Events tab and filter by your location. You may find:
- IFRD Group rides
- IFRD Dealership open houses
- IFRD Events
- IFRD Coffee meetups
- Off-road adventures
- Informal “ride and lunch” gatherings
Many local organisers begin posting events weeks — sometimes months — in advance.
4) Check Your Local Motorcycle Dealerships & Retailers
Connect with nearby motorcycle dealerships and retailers, as many proudly host or support International Female Ride Day events. Check their websites, social media pages, or in-store notices for ride details, meetups, demo days, or special celebrations happening locally.
Dealerships often act as gathering points for the riding community and can be a great source for discovering IFR activities and connecting with fellow riders in your area.

5) Explore the #internationalfemalerideday Instagram Feed
Explore the International Female Ride Day Instagram feed (bottom of our main IFRD web page) and join our IFRD community on Instagram to find exciting events and gatherings for women riders worldwide. From group rides to workshops, discover opportunities to connect with a supportive community and celebrate the thrill of the open road this International Female Ride Day. These happenings also make for a stop along your IFRD solo ride!
6) Organise Your Own IFRD Meetup
Can’t find an event nearby? Create one. Organising an IFRD ride can be as simple as:
- Choosing a meeting spot.
- Posting details online.
- Inviting local women riders.
- Planning a safe route.
- Sharing a coffee or meal afterward.
Some of the world’s most inspiring IFRD gatherings started with just a few riders wanting to connect.
7) Ride Solo — And Still Be Part Of The Global Movement
Remember — you do not need a formal event to participate in IFRD. The heart of International Female Ride Day has always been simple: Just Ride!
Many women choose:
- A peaceful solo ride.
- A scenic route.
- A commute to work.
- A short ride after dinner.
- A ride with one trusted friend.
- A family ride.
- A quick stop for a photo.
Every ride matters. Every woman visible on a motorcycle or powersports vehicle contributes to the global movement. Small or large — it all matters.
