Last Update: 26 December 2025

BMW Motorrad turns up the dial on its iconic R 18 lineup — delivering more style, more comfort, and more ride-ready performance. From exciting bold new finishes to thoughtful design upgrades and improved torque, every model in the R 18 family — R 18, R 18 Classic, R 18 Roctane, R 18 B, and R 18 Transcontinental — has been refined. Moreover, it now meets the latest Euro 5+ emissions standard.
BMW R 18 More Torque, Same Big Boxer Soul
The iconic 1,802cc Big Boxer engine now delivers 163 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm—5 Nm more than before—providing even smoother power delivery between 2,000–4,000 rpm.

R 18: Sleeker, Sharper Cruiser
The R 18 cruiser gets a fresh, more dynamic design with updated fenders, new 18” rear wheel (up from 16”), and stylish double-spoke cast wheels — also available in a Contrast Cut finish. The redesigned solo seat is now thicker for improved comfort and easier to remove via a concealed button. Additional updates include revised suspension for a smoother ride, new silencers, and standard USB-C charging and daytime running lights (market dependent).
This touring-oriented model now features a 19” front spoke wheel, a lowered front fender from the R 18 B, and new side covers. Silencers and styling have been refined for a more vintage aesthetic. USB-C and daytime running lights also come standard.

Both the R 18 and R 18 Classic now offer a Blacked Out variant with high-gloss black and Dark Chrome elements, enhancing their bold and elegant road presence.
BMW introduces new comfort packages (heated grips, cruise control, hill start assist, lockable fuel cap). There are also fresh accessories including drag bars, black engine guards, and spoke wheel kits. Additionally, new colourways include Velvet Green Metallic and Aquamarine Blue.
