Last Update: 10 February 2024

This year the women riders of Mexico have decided to celebrate International Female Ride Day® (IFRD) in the largest, biggest, most exciting way possible – with a country wide call to “just ride”. And that’s not all. Utilising the IFRD globally synchronised women’s ride day action and platform on Saturday 6 May, Mexican women’s organisations, clubs and associations will unite in Mexico City with the goal of setting a new world record for the largest gathering of women motorcycle riders.
Join International Female Ride Day in Mexico
Women throughout Mexico have included IFRD in their motorcycle and motorsport culture since discovering the movement. In fact, motorcycle clubs from Los Angeles, and other parts of USA have traditionally enjoyed meetup’s in Mexico and throughout the US borders edge. This year a number of women decided that since IFRD draws large number of women riders, that they would go for the new world title. With that goal in mind, the Motorcycle and Motorcycle tourism body for Mexico – MOTUCO (National Commission of Motorcycle Tourism and Concentrations) – has joined in support and partnership. Women from across the country will collaborate and share in the day.
Mexico: A Motorcyclist’s Paradise
Mexico satisfies the on-road and off – road rider all accented by a climate and ideal weather conditions riders love – heat, sun and dry roads! It has a diverse landscape, with central highlands and deep valleys, northern arid deserts, and southern and eastern lush rain forests. Mexico’s culture is so unique and rich that it has 34 world heritage sites recognised by UNESCO, with 26 for its cultural diversity, six for its natural wonders, and two for both.
Mexico is a country rich in biodiversity, climates fantastic riding, and provides one of the warmest cultural hospitalities. The National Commission of Motorcycle Tourism and Concentrations MOTUCO, is the entity empowered by the Mexican Motorcycling Federation (FMM) for the purpose of coordinating and endorsing on its behalf, the Motorcycle Tourism and Concentration events in our country. Their main objective is to “revere the name of Mexico as a leading country in recreational motorcycling, forming a fraternal, safe and organised community. Their objectives ensure riders create their own identities and develop, in collaboration with the FIM, events of international stature promoting tourism in our wonderful Mexico”.
